Isatoic anhydrides and their uses in heterocyclic synthesis

Local: Isatoic Anhydride is a hetero bicyclic aromatic compound with diketone at 2 and 4 positions and additional one oxygen atom in the ring system. It, a cyclic ester, is a versatile intermediate used for the manufacture of target materials. It has a lactam structure which is an important part of antibiotics, such as penicillin and textiles. Cyclic anhydride compounds are widely used in the synthesis of dyes, pigments, cosmetics additives, polymer additives, agrochemicals, textiles and paper chemicals, lubricant additives and corrosion inhibitors.
